Mercy’s Gate serves our neighbors in the following ZIP codes: 80907, 08, 09, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 27, 38, 51 with rent, Project COPE, gas and bus vouchers, food, medical needs, legal advice, and clothing.
Mercy’s Gate serves all El Paso County with non-CSU utilities, USDA commodities, VITA tax return preparation, and Heart Training Center services.

Prayer
Prayer is at the heart of everything we do at Mercy’s Gate, because all healing starts with prayer. We would love to pray for you! Online prayer requests can be sent through Ministry@MercysGateCS.org.

Ministering to the whole person, spirit, soul, and body through teaching, training, and prayer. Contact us.
Legal Assistance
We have an attorney available for legal advice (call for an appointment). Contact us.
Other Assistance
For legal, nurse, clothing vouchers, or non-CSU utilities appointments, please call 719-277-7470, ext. 124 during our normal hours. Contact us.
Financial Assistance
Financial help is provided through rental, utility, prescription assistance, medical co-pays, financial advice (including free budget classes in partnership with Mpowered), and gas and bus tokens for medical and job-related transportation. While we help everyone who comes to us each day, we may not always be able to provide financial assistance to everyone.
Rent Assistance*
Monday afternoons at 4 pm sharp (if you have any questions, please call ahead). Bring your current lease and ID. You must be current on rent, and have not received assistance from us for rent within the last 12 months. Contact us.
Utilities Assistance
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at 9 am sharp (if you have any questions, please call ahead).
For Colorado Springs Utilities assistance, please bring your red disconnect notice and a current ID.*

November 1 begins LEAP (Low-Income Assistance Program). You must have received assistance from LEAP before you are eligible for assistance with your Colorado Springs Utilities bill. If you were denied LEAP, please call our main number, 277-7470 x. 124 to see what your next step is. If you do not have a LEAP application, call 1-866-432-8435 and they will mail you an application.
If you have received utilities assistance from any agency (other than LEAP) in the last 12 months, we will not be able to help you. Contact us.
Faith Community Nurse*
A registered nurse is available to assess health care needs, provide prescription assistance, and to link our clients with community resources. Contact us.
Financial Counseling
We have volunteer counselors available throughout the week for budgeting help. Contact us.
Food Assistance
Food Pantry*
Families receive a four day emergency supply of food up to three times each year. Available during all open hours: Monday 4-7 pm, Wednesday 9-noon, Thursday 9-noon & 1-4 pm, Friday 9-noon. Please arrive at least an hour before closing. Contact us. (Click here for how to donate food.)
USDA Commodities Program
In partnership with The Emergency Food Assistance Program, Mercy’s Gate helps supplement the diets of low-income families by providing a monthly food package. Monday, 9am-Noon. Must be there by 11:30am to sign up for first time or to renew. Located at Fellowship Bible Church, 5590 N. Nevada Ave. Need picture ID and Social Security card to apply; serves all El Paso County.
